Additional Description: A two-day bespoke course designed to cover all areas of safety involved in the operations of your own workboat. From “RIB” to “Weed Cutter” we can train in the use under the following general areas:

Irish Sailing Association (ISA)
This two-day course is based on the International Sailing Federation Offshore Special Regulations, Appendix G, and approved on their behalf by the Irish Sailing Association in 2005.
This course is required by at least 30% of a crew including the skipper and must have been undertaken within the 5 years before the start of the race.
Course includes all areas relating to survival and maintenance of the vessel in heavy weather and includes aspects of coming to the aid of others.
We can be flexible in how the course can be delivered – weekdays, weekend or weekends – which ever best suits your group.

 | COURSE PERSONAL SURVIVAL TECHNIQUES (PST), STCW Code: A-V1/1-1

Programme: Theoretical awareness and practical experience is given in preparation for sea survival in the event of abandonment. Use of flares, life jackets and life rafts and other survival equipment is demonstrated and discussed during the lecture phase. A wet drill in the pool, where you get the chance to put into practice the theory from the morning, follows. Use of life raft, lifejackets and other rescue devices are used so that you can experience the difficulties and practice the techniques used to help you survive. Principles of raft management, drowning and near drowning, hypothermia, communications etc are areas covered during this course.
Duration: One day.

Requirements: No course pre-requisite. Participants should bring their own swimwear. Lifejackets can be supplied but we encourage you to bring your own so that you can become familiar with your own equipment. Additional Description: A one-day training course designed to meet the safety demands of the personnel involved in jetty activities. The aim is to heighten awareness of the dangers involved, to be informed of company’s safety policies and procedures and also what to do in the event of an incident occurring. The course finishes with a pool session where theory from the morning session is put into practice. This course can be conducted throughout the country. A certificate is issued on successful completion.

| COURSE VHF RADIO, course3
Additional Description: This 2-day course will lead to the GMDSS qualification which is designed for mariners who will be operating within GMDSS Area A1 (VHF range). The GOC is required for those who will be operating Outside A1 areas.
The course is approved by the Department of Transport. The Department, following assessment by independent course assessor, will issue the VHF certificate.
The course covers all the requirements for this certification. Participants will receive a comprehensive set of course notes, which in addition to enabling self-study whilst on the course, will also be a valuable manual for future reference.
